2003 GIFT WRAP DESIGN BRIEF
The InnerVisions gift-wrap collection features various African American and cross-cultural inspired art designs that will target the Multi-cultural consumer. Our goal is to continue to create a commercial product with fresh new concepts that are exciting to the industry, and will satisfy the demand for creative, high quality paper products.
In the future, InnerVisions will also look to expand its reach by using its design concept to develop other products such as greeting cards, gift bags, and home furnishings.
Wal Mart stores, the first retailer to give InnerVisions the opportunity to sell its product, placed the InnerVisions gift wrap product in 1500 stores nationwide during the 1996 holiday season. The product achieved an 85% sell through before Christmas Day. Realizing the value of this product, Wal Mart has invited InnerVisions for the sixth consecutive year to be a vendor for their in store holiday gift wrap collection.

DESIGN DIRECTION:
Overall, designs should look ethnic / multi-cultural using traditional Christmas elements reinterpreted for this market such as angels, Santa's, wise men and toy solders. ANY elements that represent Christmas and can be used to be reinterpreted into a fresh and commercial look. Graphics should look clean and simple. Try to keep colors bright, having the main colors be red and green. Again I do not want to limit you, just keep in mind that when looking at the designs, they make you feel happy and bring the warmth of the holidays.
To give you additional ideas of creativity, consider to following: Do not limit yourself to these elements or colors but, consider using several different elements in one design.

This briefing is a vehicle to give you a base from which to begin the creative process.

DESIGN SELECTION AND PAYMENT PROCEDURE:
Please understand that you may submit as many paper designs as you wish however, Innervisions will only pay for what is chosen by the Retailer. If chosen, Innervisions will pay $500.00 for each design. You will be paid at the time the design is chosen. At the receipt of the first payment, you will be required to sign a statement that would give Innervisions complete ownership and copyright of the design with the artist listed as the creator. In the event that none of your designs are chosen, you will be paid a cancellation fee of $200. for your efforts.

DESIGN SUBMISSIONS:
All designs must be submitted in 8 1/2x11 as a color print out and also on a zip disk. If the files are NOT too large, they can be sent VIA e-mail. All designs should have the ability to be opened in Adobe PhotoShop or Adobe Illustrator 9.0 and be recolored by our office if necessary. If you are not comfortable submitting all of your designs on a disk, I will accept 20 GOOD QUALITY color print outs on 8 1/2 x 11. I will supply you with a style number for your design.

DEADLINES:
FIRST DRAFTS: Received by October 1st, if possible.
You will have up until the final deadline to tweak and rework any designs.
FINAL DESIGNS: Received by October 15TH
